I meant to write a few days ago, when:
The overcrowded classroom is silent (it seems like all my classes are too full, with people sitting on the stairs, spilling out into hallways, standing in the corner for the hour lectures). He stares out over the mass to students, who have gone unusually quiet, whether out of thinking about the problem or just out of fear that he'll call on the first person to attract attention. Strangely, no one says anything; our class is pretty eager, usually. The guy on my left is a talker, so the district I'm sitting in has a participatory precedent; I'm feeling outgoing, so I raise my hand and he nods. "Use the quadratic equation, in terms of x," I say, kind of ambiguously. He stares at the board. This is obvously not the right answer; I stare down at my paper and realize I've made one of my stupid mistakes again, writing x when I meant y. Correctly written, the problem is nigh impossible in a decent amount of time. Shit. The silence grows and he's still staring at the board, I'm feeling the mounting pressure to say something and admit the fiasco when he says, "Weeelll, yes. That's good. Very good. Writing the general solution in terms of x and taking the inverse. Very good. Hum. I hadn't thought of that." He proceeds to the board to do this, and I hear Jane give a whoop two rows behind me and I'm grinning insanely on the inside. I *heart* my math proff.

Last night I went to see Flogging Molly in San Fransisco. I haven't had that much fun at a concert before; JG, you would be proud of me, I went in the pit and crowd surfed and got stepped on. (Didn't rip up my mouth though, *grin*) The energy was infectious. Can't help bouncing around. Must learn how to dance attractively sometime. Anyway, if you have a chance to see them, you should. Call out to wolf for introducing them.
(It's weird, going to a concert without someone to be with; I'm going mad (JG, your snuggle addiction is contagious). But I guess I'll get over it...*melting*)
But a weekend facing me. Must read more, behind in chem and bio and must start econ set.
