she will be your living end

Oh man, I am so behind on everything! Life's been pretty nutty lately, what with taking first steps towards the grad school of my dreams and all, and having my first-ever portfolio review. (It went really well - thanks so much to everyone for the advice! ♥) I have some catching up to do, per as usual.

I should clarify this comment--

I don't think she died, but the possibility that she snuck out and was crafty is so obvious that I don't find it any more intriguing than her just being dead.

--by saying that, to me, plane-exploding is such a been there, done that trope that there is NO direction they could take it that I would find very impressive. It's not that I think Neal shouldn't make choices or women shouldn't have personalities. I just have no respect, ever, for the Exploding Vehicles Full Of Loved Ones move.

I am with you there! Blowing up (or appearing to have blown up) a character's loved one at the last minute is tired and cheap. :/ (I would probably be more irritated in general if I hadn't loved the rest of the episode so freaking hard, right up to that second.) That said, I still think that secretly!alive!Kate would have a lot more (or, you know, any) potential next season than suddenly!dead!Kate, since they can't exactly take back the explosion.

I assume it's Neal's dream, because it will be the most attractive when he wakes up grubby and covered in sweat, filled with confusion and fear and making giant traumatized puppy eyes.

He will wake up back in prison, at the arrival of his least favorite surly, threatening, ill-shaven guard. The surly, threatening, ill-shaven guard will be delivering his new cell mate--a mysteriously familiar man...whose name...IS PETER.
