break my heart, but not my paradigms

Day three of our fictional band, and already we're slashing ourselves. *g*

I'm going home (Western Mass) for a long weekend; my grandmother's down from Chicago, and I haven't seen my brother in over a month. (Poor kid's working himself to the bone to afford JYA in France. Summer camp and an ice cream parlor; frankly, I'm really glad he's still breathing.) Should be a good trip; Ev and I are going to see the New Pornographers tonight, there'll be local theater at some point, and it'll just be great to be back in the Valley. Then they're following me back to Boston on Tuesday, for a Red Sox game (I haven't been since I was twelve).

I'm bringing my laptop, so I'll have internet access, but I doubt I'll be online much. And I'll be scannerless, so if I finish MCR fanart or Intensity Boat merch designs, they'll have to wait until I get back.

Mostly I just wish I could bring my guitar. All this band talk (fictional though it is--I feel like I should start using small text a la mina_de_malfois) makes me want to practice more. We learned three new songs and something like eight new (very related) chords at the last class. Hopefully I won't forget them. /o\
