My Iowa Winter Update!

Jan 25, 2009 15:00

Well, it's that time to blog again...

It's time for me to leave this Iowa winter for awhile. I'll be going on vacation to Orlando, Florida at the end of February, from February 26th to March 5th. I'm going to check out Sea World, Disney World and may try to get to Universal Studios and check out TNA Impact. Can't wait to enjoy some warmer weather. It won't be like Hawaii last March for me, but anything is better than this cold stuff. I'll miss a couple shows to referee here in Iowa while I'm gone but I'm sure a good replacement will be found.

I just had a show last night in Algona, Iowa for Impact Pro Wrestling. The show was at the IPW Vault. Here are the results:

Impact Pro Wrestling
Saturday, 1/24/2009
Algona, Iowa

1) A match between Thrillcat and Wicked Lester Brody was declared a no contest, Lester unmasked Thrillcat and discovered Mister F underneath, then Johny Fitness showed up and arranged a match next time between Mister F and Wicked Lester Brody.

2) James Jeffries used a roll up to defeat former friend Ian Wellington. Wellington and Manager Flav demanded a rematch and Jeffries agreed to it next time.

3) A.J. Smooth and Justin Decent were declared winners of the number one contenders match for the Extreme Title. This match was a 8-Man Hardcore Scramble. It sets up a Three way dance for the Extreme Title next time around beween Smooth, Decent and Sly the defending champ. During this match, I was taken out by a splash in the corner, but I dusted myself off and continued working the rest of the matches that night.

4) IPW Heavyweight Champion Montoya X defeated Supa Cito Kid to retain the IPW title in extra time, orginally they had both been counted out of the ring.

Intermission - 15 min.

5) Flav and Marshall Scott defeated the Main Atrtractions Jayson Kinkaid and Sparrow to retain the Tag Team Titles.

6) Tony Sly defended the Extreme Title by defeating Project Matthew
in 16:07. It was a rough and brutal match.

All in all, it was a great night of wrestling action. It wasn't quite a full-house at the IPW Vault but the crowd was into the action. I noticed a reporter taking photos and interviewing wrestlers, not sure from where though.

For 2009, I've refereed 12 matches on 2 shows....many more matches and shows to go.

I believe my next show I'll be refereeing for before I go to Florida will be on February 21st at the Prairie Hill Pavillion in Marion, Iowa. Only a 45 min. drive away for me. Hopefully I'll be able to talk some people to come down from Waterloo/Cedar Falls area.

That's all for now!
