Hello everybody,
Well it's time for a Billy J. blog installment....
Nothing has happened significantlly since my last blog. Just been working full-time and stuff.
This weekend I was booked for 2 shows. On Friday, I left work and headed down to Keota, Iowa for the Central Empire Wrestling (
http://www.myspace.com/centralempirewrestling ) show. Here are the results from the show...
Central Empire Wrestling
Friday, 4/20/2007
Keota, Iowa
*=matches I reffed
1) The Bomb Squad (Ricky Kwong/Owen Donovan) defeated Chris Havius and Zac James
2) Cory O'Neil defeated Aaron Corbin
*3) Devin Carter (managed by Ryan Slade) retained the CEW Title by defeating Tyler Cook (managed by a valet)
Intermission
4) 4 Team Tag Team Match: Nate Bash and Ben Sailor defeated the teams of Jaysin Strife/Jimmy Rockwell, Donnie Peppercricket/Casanova and Zach Thompson/Stephen Stonebreaker?
5) Corwin Star defeated Brian Ash
*6) Montoya X defeated Austin Bayliss in a No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere match.
All in all a good show. There was a small crowd (around 50) but they seemed to enjoy the show overall.
After the show, some of the wrestlers, along with me, headed to the Junction in Delta, Iowa to meet up with other workers. We would of been there sooner but someone got us lost, who will remain nameless...
After a night at the Junction, I drove back to Cedar Falls to sleep in my own bed. Around 2:30pm I drove back down to Delta, Iowa for the Impact Pro Wrestling (
http://www.impactprowrestling.com ) show Saturday night. I reffed all of the matches. Here are the results from that show:
Impact Pro Wrestling
Saturday, 04/21/2007
Delta, Iowa
The show opened with a promo from the Inhumane Society (T.S. Aggressor, Mr. Destiny and A.J. Smooth)
1) Vin Cross defeated Ian "The Beef" Wellington in the first match of the night with a pinfall.
2) Mr. Destiny defeated 2 guys (sorry, didn't catch the names) in separate matches. If you lasted 5 min. without getting pinned/submitting, the winner received $5000 from Destiny. Matty Starr came out and introduced The Chief. The Chief lasted 5 min. to receive the win and the $5000 check.
3) Supa Cito Kid defeated Chance Cordova in a Singapore Cane on a Pole Match. Supa Cito Kid hit Cordova with the cane to retain the IPW Extreme Title.
Intermission
4) T.S. Aggressor defeated Buck Albright with the Roll of the Dice.
5) The Star Spangled Bad Asses (Havyk and Project Matthew) defeated Torturous Tony Sly and Latin Thunder (with a valet). Havyk speared Sly to retain the IPW Tag Team Titles.
6) Matty Starr beat A.J. Smooth by DQ as Smooth hit Starr with the IPW Belt. Smooth retained the IPW Title due to the disqualification.
Overall, a good show. The crowd was fewer than normal but they enjoyed the action.
I got a little too involved during the main event. Starr had fans at ring side chop A.J. Smooth. Starr asked me to chop Smooth, which I hesitantly did. T.S. Aggressor came running to the ring. He attemted to punch my lights out with his left fist which I barely ducked and layed a chop into him and kicked him out of the ring. Luckily I was able to establish order in the ring thereafter.
After show, a great time was had at The Junction in Delta, Iowa. After a great time, I drove back to Cedar Falls for some sleep.
43 matches reffed so far in 2007....Much more to happen!
Didn't do anything today since it was raining outside and stuff.
The next show I have booked is for Impact Pro Wrestling in Steamboat Rock, Iowa. Only a 40 mile drive west from Cedar Falls. I can't wait! Should be a great time!
Until next time...
