Memorial Day Weekend Flashback
Here is another installment of the Life of Referee Billy J...
Friday, May 26th...6:00 pm couldn't have come any slower today. Finally it was time to leave my workplace and start enjoying my 3 day weekend. I missed out on Brian Ash's wedding in Des Moines due to the fact I had to work till 6pm.
Saturday, May 27th...Didn't do much of anything exciting. Just wanted to relax and chill on this day. Too hot to do anything outside at all. I totally forgot to go to a friend's graduation party. I'm sorry man!
Sunday, May 28th...I went to Waterloo East's graduation ceremony to see a friend of mine graduate. It was only an hour long graduation. Afterwards, I got bored and headed down to Meskwaki Casino and lost money. 3 or 4 days ago, I ended up winning $750 on a penny slot machine. I was happy! Got back a little after 11pm and headed to bed a couple hours later.
Monday, May 29th...Memorial Day...woke up around noon...a friend of mine stopped by to say hi for a few minutes...then my roommate and I decided to head to the New Cedar Falls Aquatic Center...only $4/ticket...they have a pool area for kids with a bucket that pours down gallons of water every 5 min...they have a lazy river which is pretty relaxing...a couple raft slides and a tube slide. I got to try out everything except for the raft slides. The place was packed and it was hard to get an innertube. We met a girl on the lazy river and had fun trying to get each other wet. I think her name was Laura. I didn't put any sunblock on and when we got home, my sunburn started to surface. I'm burned on my chest, stomach, shoulders and feet. I had a hard time sleeping last night. Had to place a cold wet towel on my chest/stomach to try and reduce the pain. I still hurt pretty good today.
I was going to make dinner last night but needed some milk for the instant mashed potatoes. I went to the gas station just a couple blocks away and ended up playing some pull-tabs there. I ended up winning $100 (made up for my loss at the casino the day before). Ended up going out to dinner instead. Thanks Iowa Lottery!
All in all, had a great weekend. It sucks having to come back to work, but it makes for a short work week. Can't wait to get rid of this sunburn. I should end up with a good tan.
Well, my next scheduled show isn't till June 17th for 3XWrestling in Waukee, Iowa (west of Des Moines). TNA Superstar Jerry Lynn will be action. Can't wait for the show. For more information, check out http://www.3xwrestling.com
Hopefully I'll have another booking before the 17th...but who knows.
