This was written for a crossover challenge in which Reeve's heart(less) is Cait Sith. Naturally, I didn't actually get to that part of the story before the due date, but the first bit stands up pretty well on its own. Reeve as the mayor of Destiny Islands is my own invention, but I figured, in the admittedly short list of moral Final Fantasy civil servants, I couldn't think of a better daddy for Kairi than Reeve.
