Yes go get yourself a home connectivity. If I had not had the luxury of it I might be spending my entire day at work at times when my interaction is with teams in different countries in different time zones ( ... )

Nope they normally start their day at the 8:00 am. i sit around waiting for them. if its 1 on 1 with folk then its more flexible and i sometimes set it up at 9:00 am my time! i kind of used to this now...its been this way for the last 2 years juggling with people in various timezones.

I'm a firm believer in "Whatever happens happens for a good reason"...and i'm quite good at planning. tho this was just some general rambling.

Good for you on your firm beliefs. Also happy to note that you are good at planning. I have found very few of them around.

If they start their day around 8.00 AM then it is around 9.30 PM for you, thats tough. So do you come in late the days you have to take these calls. I was on a call on my way to work with my B'lore team and it was still 6.30 PM for them so it was not bad for them. I try to take calls earlier so they can leave early to home.

I normally come in late when i know i'm staying back in office for these conf calls. today tho has been the worst coz i was in at 8:00 am for another meeting and will be leaving only at 11:00.

I guess u being in chicago decreases the time difference by about 2 hours...so that makes it a lil bit easier to handle i guess.

Old (Eastern European I guess) saying:
Man has to hold his mouth open a long time before a roasted chicken flies in to it!

So if the chicken did fly in enjoy every bit of it ;-)

Everything good (or bad) that's happened to me has happened without my control, I've just given up, let life take me where it wants to take me.
