Busy Bees

So last week was quite eventful to say the least!!

Tuesday night I went out with Lora and Shannon to the Fire Bar in Crystal Lake for some good ole karaoke! That was a lot of fun... I love having fun neighbors that like to go out.

Thursday, Jon and I went to Goebberts Pumpkin patch after work and picked out our pumpkins for carving. We also got some Pumpkin pancake mix and some delicious cider, yum yum! Later in the evening on Thursday, we went back to the Fire Bar to go see the cover band Modern Day Romeos since Lora wanted to see them really bad. It was SO crowded, but we got a primo front row table and it was definately a good time.

Friday we decided to stay in since we went out on Thursday. It was heavenly. We watched The Poltergeist and had some cider and went to sleep early so that we could get an early start on Saturday.

Saturday Jon and I woke up around 9 and headed out to the Morton Arboretum! We drove around looking at the beautiful fall leaves and even did some walking on the trails. We also got to do our annual scarecrow walk in which we took pictures with each one. They also had complimentary wine tastings at the tents by the scarecrows, so we took advantage of that as well. Afterwards, we went to Chef Paul's (after driving around for an hour and a half trying to find an open restaurant unsuccessfully) and had a delicious German dinner! I had the Weiner Schnitzel and Jon got the pig roast! On top of that, they even had Ichabod Pumpkin beer on tap! After that, we went home to unwind for a few hours. Later in the evening, we met up with Lora, Adam & Shannon and drove out to Elgin to go check out the Turner's Hall Haunted house. Steve and Liz met up with us as well. We stopped by the Public House for a couple of drinks and then did the haunted house. It was really cool! Definately shorter than last week's... but still effective in making me scream. Afterwards, we stopped by prairie rock for a beer but decided to move the party back to Pingree Grove. Steve, Liz, Jon and I went back to Adam & Lora's house and we got to play Trolls, which is a very cool dice/board game played with Trolls and you bet on them like horse racing. Very cool!!

Sunday I lounged around until mid-afternoon and then met my family out at Omega in Lombard to celebrate my dad's birthday. It was nice to see my family and my mom sent me home with a lot of bags full of halloween stuff... I never leave empty handed when I see my family!

This week is preparation for Saturday's Halloween Party!! I'm sooooo excited!!! Good times will be had by all.
