looking for love... in all the wrong places.

(warning, this is rambly.. :))

so, i'm up late, as usual, trying to find something to do to avoid my homework, as usual, when i happen upon a band on a website i use a lot when i'm in this mood. (allmusic.com, yeah. alright..) so i'm looking this band, mogwai, up cause they're supposed to be similar to explosions in the sky, which is cool. i want to hear what they sound like, so i find one of their albums, and start to listen to it. i like it, so i look for more albums. i don't find any. :(

so i'm surfing around, looking up other stuff, and i come back to my search program, and now there's two other albums, so i look to see who the mogwai fan is... and try to download it all. but some of the songs are too long, like 11 and 15 minutes, which means the program gets impatient and times out halfway through... :(.

so then, i think i can just listen to the songs through their iTunes that i can't get through myTunes. but this is less demanding of my attention, so now i'm also trying to check my email and other stuff. but now my computer isn't loading yahoo mail or anything, so i get really frustrated and start closing programs so that i can try to restart my computer. but then i remember i'm still interested in hearing the rest of the 15 minute song. (it's really good.) and then i see that this person has a lot more cool stuff. like rare radiohead albums, coco rosie, and some music that british peter made last year, (!) which i've been meaning to listen to for a while, but then i've already closed the sharing program, and when i reopen it, the awesome person's library won't reconnect with myTunes. :(

so, i can listen to their amazing music as long as i'm up and they're still online, but i can't get/steal any of their music. what really sucks is that i'm basically in love with this person's musical taste, and i'd totally have their babies if i just knew who they were.

so, i have a new mission: find out who this person is and get them to share their music with me, (or just stalk them on iTunes until i can reconnect and get all their music... but there's not as much mystery/intrigue in that...)

so... yeah. that's it. i guess you'd have to see all their music, and know how long i've been looking for some of it to really get how important this person (potentially) is to me.

so: "heckasuper!!!" whoever you are, know that you have a fan.
