Let there be light...

"Be cool, Soda Pop."

Once again, the school was without power.  Rumor has it that someone was removing a tree and dropped it on the power line.  This caused the outage at school.  Of course, classes continued.  Apparently, the professors teaching classes when the power actually went out just kept talking as if nothing had happened.  And then I had class in the dark.  I was lucky because my class was optional so when people didn't show up, there's no penalty.  I'm not sure how much fun class was for everybody else though.

Yesterday was another day of fun.  Once again my Civil Procedure professor cancelled Tuesday's class and put the make-up Monday at noon.  So my section again went from 10:40 until 2:10 with no break, which doesn't seem long except there's literally no break.  Each professor starts early and goes late so we barely have time to switch our seats for the next class.  In between the first two classes I was moving to my new seat when this ginormous bug came flying through the air.  It actually stung the guy next to me to the point where he had to buy a water bottle to keep on his finger (he couldn't find ice).  So, he sat all through class typing while trying to keep the water bottle on his finger.  It ended up being pretty red and swollen...and not very pretty.  But at the end of class, an alarm went off.  And our professor's response was, "Well, I don't know what that is but it doesn't matter because I dismissed you anyway."  So, happy times.  As we all go out of the room carrying every single book, other people come in the room yelling at us to get out of the room.  We were not the group to mess with that day.

On the brighter side, before class the same professor expressed his dismay at people pulling out some food.  He told people that there is to be no eating in class but he may be able to make an exception since our class was at lunchtime.  Now, the person this was directed as has been nicknamed "killa."  Some people suspect that he's not very fond of women, as evidenced by his opinions of the women in cases.  But he eats crackers during class that smell.  Although normally the smell wouldn't be too bad, he brings the entire giant bag and breaks it open.  The smell just spreads.  And I sit behind him for one class.  Like, directly behind him.  It's not pretty.  So, maybe he won't eat them during that class.

Molly's coming down to visit this weekend.  I think Christina has a tournament in Pennsylvania so I get puppy for the weekend.  And now there's a family Down Under on Friday so she can terrorize everybody and their families.  Should be fun.
