They have been one of the reasons I eventually started watching Gilmore Girls.
It was something like this. I was still in school, I had a lesson off, so I was sitting around with a couple of the other students. Then they started talking about yesterday's episode: "That Damn Donna Reed". I didn't had a clue what they were talking about, so I listened to them talking about the Java Junkies in those terms:
Girl 1: Uhhh! And then they hid behind the counter!
Girl 2: Oh yeah! That was wicked! And then Luke & Lorelai's longing looks. Awwww so great!
Girl 1: Yeah! Ohhh! And then the chicken Stella got loose.
Girl 2: Stella. Now seriously, who names a chicken 'Stella'?
Girl 1: Well, that's Lorelai!
All the time I was thinking: "Ok. Who names their child 'Lorelai'??? And how old is she?"
So a couple of days after that I started watching the show, but they aired Season 4 out of the blue. Well. I stayed on the watch anyway. And over the time I got addicted - like crazy.
Luke & Lorelai are for me the perfect couple. They care about each other, they would do everything for each other just to make them happy - in fact Luke done about over 300 little things in course of the series just for Lorelai (Yup, I made a list) and Lorelai done over 100 little things for Luke (hands to go down to the List again ^^).
I still want my wedding - not just in fanfiction - goddammit! And the twins - again, not just in fanfiction.
So, who's voting for a movie with me? :D
