AMP12: Day 2 and Day 3
Man. It's the last half-hour of Day Three of Amplificathon 2012, and I've already managed to miss a day. I..... don't actually know how that happened. Like, it's not even the first week all the way through yet, and I'm already skipping days. So much for my goal of posting every day....
But, well, I do have a podfic for yesterday and a podfic for today for your listening pleasure. So, here, have something nice to listen to.
Day Two: In The Stacks, written by ladyfoxxx
So, heard_the_owl was feeling ill these past few days, and I might have promised her Wincest as a convalescence incentive. But I couldn't find any previously-recorded Sam'n'Dean porn in my stash, on either my harddrive or my laptop (I know! I was just as shocked as you are. How did I not have any backup Winchester porn!?), so I went the J2 route instead. Jared and Jensen are just as pretty, but with slightly fewer dead relatives and emotional trauma ;-) In The Stacks features Jared and Jensen on a night shoot for Supernatural, college libraries, inner Shakespeare geeks, and blowjobs. And, since ladyfoxxx is on the BP List, it was just pretty awesome for me all around when I read this fic.
Funny story: I recorded this podfic in mid-January, on a day when I'd been feeling particularly useless. It was just one of those days, where you still have your pajamas on at 4:30 in the afternoon and you haven't showered yet that day and don't actually have anything to show for having even been awake all day. So I basically decided, screw it! I'm gonna make me some library porn! And then I did. And by 6:00 that night, I had blowjobs and quasi-sexuality crises to show for my day.
.....One thing I forgot? My house is on the direct line of commute between the train station into the City, and the rest of town. And I was recording with my window open. And I'm pretty sure that there were a bunch of commuters coming home from their 9-to-5, who overheard Jensen getting his rocks off.
Yeah. Awkward, after the fact.

Day Three: Three Reasons Adam Doesn't Let His Mom Book Them Shows Anymore, written by roga
This podfic is actually a...compilation? I think. Three Reasons... is the title of a series of three ficlets written by roga, crossing American Idol Season 8's Adam Lambert with The Chronicles of Narnia (An Unexpected Venue), The Lord of the Rings (Meleth Sôg), and Nolan-verse Batman (Do You Know What You Got Into) - and I read all three ficlets as one whole podfic, complete with musical interludes to indicate each new segment. I really wanted a song that would convey the boisterous nature of touring with your band (and also the frustrations that Adam & Co. faced with each new venue); therefore, the Intro/Outro music for this podfic is the equally boisterous (and sometimes frustrating) song The Wild Rover, as performed by the Dropkick Murphys. There are some really funny lines in these stories, and the way roga swings the crossovers - Adam thought "going through wardrobe" meant costume changes! Adam loves Elvish hairstyles! Adam's Mom has LARPing buddies! - is just another example of her typically awesome style. (Also, all the pictures that went into this cover were used by roga as cover-art for the individual ficlets of the series. Hopefully I've managed to make them look cohesive together as a whole....) ***Thanks to the crossover with Lord of the Rings, and Adam's fondness for the refreshments of Rivendell, I'm using this podfic to fill my "elves" square for au_bingo.
