Why I Love It: How could I not love this fic? It's a sequel to she's liable to grow up mean, taking place before they all show up in Rio for against the fortress - the how of Buffy and Brian and Carter winding up in a tangle together. pprfaith plays off Brian's neediness at the start of FatF2, and Buffy's broken-then-built-back-up-again restructured moral compass post-S2, and the duality of how Carter can be good to Buffy but capital-B-bad to everyone else at work. I love how all three of these characters have elements that fill a need in the others, in a way that's probably not healthy, but is really really good for me anyways. I love how this fills in all the gaps that I'd previously only imagined. I love that someone else loves this 'verse just as much as I do - after all, it wasn't even my prompt that sparked this fic in the first place!
