Why I Love It: I'm not dead! And to prove it, let's have a podfic about people who GET dead. Also, it's nearly Halloween - so, in the spirit of the holiday, let's have some everyday serial killers to enjoy. They're scarier BECAUSE they blend in so well, after all.... And combine all that with the excellent flip on good guy!Steve and Bucky? It's the perfect delicious thrill of wrongbadright to run up your spine. The way tigriswolf writes these boys.... I love it so much. Their symbiotic-verging-on-codependent relationship is the kind of Steve/Bucky I love best, precisely BECAUSE it's too intense to be quite healthy (I know, my Supernatural roots are showing). Steve's meticulous planning, Bucky's spurrious nature when let lose on Steve's targets, the way either boy is at the same time the hound straining his leash and the hand holding the lead... ugh, it's all so GOOD. Also, it's pretty cool to see the Serial Killers' Guide To Not Getting Caught play out - the ending's a tad ambigous, but I know who I'm rooting for (and it's not the FBI). Toss all that together with Lorde's lyrics, "Glory and gore go hand in hand / That's why we're making headlines," and you've got a terrifying glimpse into the perfectly ordinary serial killer couple next door.
