Why I Love It: I love stories that deal with Susan, post-Narnia - I love the idea of her kicking ass and taking names, and using those hard-won skills from the throne at Cair Paravel to find her way through a magic-less world. I staunchly believe that Susan does find her way back to Narnia, eventually, and that her enjoying her life in the mundane doesn't make Susan lesser (which, okay, doesn't have a lot to do with this fic, but more the impliedaftermath of the fic... you'll see when you get there). pprfaith shows off Susan's skillset in the SSR, and at the same time, highlights Peggy's own kickassery. The thing is, this is a crossover that feels like it should have been obvious from the get-go - they're both from England! they're both affected by the War! they're both awesome examples of female strength! they're both underappreciated by their male colleagues! - and yet, somehow, I never even considered this melding of universes until after I saw pprfaith post the original fic. How could I not have considered how wonderful it would be, to see Agent Carter and Agent Pevensie teaming up agains the world!?! But I'm really glad that pprfaith thought of it, because now I can picture seventy years of Carter & Pevensie (like a buddy-cop movie, but with more face-stapling), as they make their mark on SHIELD and the world.
