One of the things that podfic's really great for - besides giving you something to listen to on long bus trips, or providing people with an alternative medium for fic consumption, or exposing you to new and exciting worlds of previously-undiscoverd joy - is that you can look at a person's back catalogue, and it'll basically act as a rec-list of all their favorite things. And you don't even have to ASK THEM about it: got a lot of Steve/Bucky podfic to their name? It's a safe bet they're a Captain America fan. And if their podfic-interests dovetail nicely with your own, you've just found yourself a brand new fandom friend!

So when I dove into sisi_rambles' (well-developed, in-depth, remarkable) stash of podfic, I found we had similar interests AS WELL AS similar tastes in fic. Which made it so much easier to ask if she wanted to go in on a collaborative podfic with me, you have no idea.
AT.410, written by legete (who has Blanket Permission to Podfic, folks!) for a kink meme prompt, is the kind of crack I love best - crack that takes itself a little bit seriously, but not TOO seriously. After all, there are MISSION REPORTS in this story. SOMEONE AT SHIELD HAD TO WRITE UP THESE SHENANIGANS, USING FULL SENTENCES. sisi_rambles does an excellent job of being An Official SHIELD Agent - her tone is both disinterested and appalled - and her accent adds an extra note of Official Business For SRS to the proceedings. It's awesome. She's a delight to your ears, people.
The best part of this whole thing is that.... no. I'm not going to tell you how it ends, because SPOILERS. Suffice it to say that the premise for this fic is just as reasonable as any other "science" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the resolution is satisfying while still leaving room for future laughter, and the characterization of the entire team is pitch-perfect. AT.410 is labeled Steve/Tony, but the story is primarily teamfic gen, with an emphasis on ALL THE SHENANIGANS rather than on shipping. Did I mention the crack?
