AMP14 - Day Eleven
Since yesterday was a Despicable Me/Avengers crossover podfic, today I'm going to post an Avengers podfic AND a Despicable Me crossover podfic. Yup, all KINDS of podfic hilarity is coming your way.
schrödinger’s cat, written by 100demons (who has Blanket Permission to Podfic! And writes hilarious Bruce/Darcy!), is a post-Avengers movie fanfic featuring Bruce Banner, Darcy Lewis, and quantum physics. See, I didn't really 'ship Bruce/Darcy until after I listened to litra's podfic of She Blinded Me With Political Science (ALLLLL the feelings for that podfic, I has them), but then I found 100demons' works while I was surfing that Bruce/Darcy wave, and it was like everything just CLICKED. 100demons has this really great handle on irreverent humor - bordering on crack - that makes you smile in places you totally weren't expecting it. Plus, this story has some excellent banter between Darcy and, well, everyone she comes in contact with. Including the Hulk. The punchline of schrödinger’s cat is particularly brilliant - I had that WHAT IS MY FACE DOING? OH, SMILING reaction while I read and recorded it.

Next up, we have Getting To Know You, a Hobbes and Bacon-meets-Despicable Me fanfic, written by lalaietha (aka
recessional, who has BP). As I described this story to a friend on Twitter, "I FOUND A HOBBS AND BACON/DESPICABLE ME CROSSOVER. BY AN AUTHOR WITH BP. BACON AND EDITHARE COLLEGE ROOMMATES AND I LOVE IT. Hobbes and Bacon is an alternate Calvin and Hobbes timeline, wherein Calvin marries Susie and they have a daughter (Bacon) and she has adventures with Hobbes and her magical rabbit Mr Bun. And Despicable Me is about a supervillain who adopts 3 girls as part of a Dastardly Plot, but then they Become A Family, and everything is wonderful. AND NOW IT'S A CROSSOVER" Which is basically every bit of background information you need, in order to enjoy this podfic. BUT, if my Twittersquee is not enough for you, how about three more reasons: College roommates. Epistolary. Sound effects.
