I totally meant to post this on Monday, but then there was this whole self-imposed internet absence - it was supposed to help me focus on studying for finals, but instead I taught myself entrelac knitting - and I kind of forgot. And actually, I've been sitting on this podfic for a while...but, anyway, here we go.
(I Would Like To) Take You Home (and two additional codas), written by quintenttsy, is another excellent fic set in FOB's 16 Candles 'verse, this time featuring members of Panic! at the Disco, The Academy Is... (hey, Mike, William, and Brendon are all in the video! It's fantastic), and Disney's Jonas Brothers (after all, someone needs to be the fluffy, unsuspecting, vampire victim).
What can I say? I have a type when it comes to vampire AUs, and gritty violence combined with stalking and creepertude is sure to ping all my buttons. quintenttsy strikes an excellent balance in this story, between the gore and bloodletting that's inherent in the vampire genre, and the fluffy happy cuddletimes that make me really adore a story of supernatural romance. Plus, the two codas are so much fun! One is immediately post-story, one is a long view of where this particular interpretation of the 16 Candles 'verse might go, and both are an excellent answer to the part of my brain that shouts "But what happens next?!" whenever I reach the end of a really good story.
On top of writing all the words that ultimately became this podfic, quintenttsy made me coverart to go with it! (Seriously, this girl is awesome like whoa. Just look at the pretty!)
