back from NY...
So I just got back from an (unexpected) trip to NY with my dad and younger brother, and it was alot of fun. My dad wants to start a new tradition of seeing a broadway play every august- last year I saw "Wicked," and this year we went to see "Hairspray." I wasn't expecting it to be awesome, but it ended up being amazing! I'll rank it as the second best play I've ever seen, behind "Wicked-" I liked the music for "Hairspray" more, since it was 60's doo-wop and mo-town style which I LOVE, but "Wicked" was,well, more of a spectacle I guess. But I'm so happy I got to go!
We also went to Madame Tussaud's wax museum- I've been there twice before, but haven't been there in like 3 yrs, and it was alot of fun, too. That place is always a little creepy though- you half expect one of the models to just lunge at you.
Tomorrow is my second week of no work at all! Kateri is coming for Tuesday and Wednesday, and I'm going to Kerri's house in Maine from Friday to Sunday....and I know I'm not the only one who's psyched to go back to school, even though I'm starting to get nervous about it for some reason. I don't know why- my classes shouldn't be too bad at all, and it's not like it's like last year, with so much uncertainty. I guess I just finally got really used to being home again, and now it's time to leave. ah well, c'est la vie.
