Summary: The aristocracy of the planet New Britain has been overthrown in a blood-drenched Revolution that seems to get worse by the day. Only the Pimpernel and his League, rumoured to be from New Britain's sister planet, New Wales, are able to stem the tide somewhat and save who they can.
On New Wales, Jack Harkness has managed to alienate his husband, Sir Ianto Jones. When his ex-lover, Captain John Hart, arrives as the new Representative from the Revolutionary Council of New Britain, he comes with a proposition for Jack: to help him discover the identity of the Pimpernel or else his brother, Gray, dies. Jack is torn between saving his brother from the Revolution or betraying a hero that has only done good...the only thing is, Jack has no idea who the Pimpernel really is.
