thank you!

i was worried about the potential dr lindsay/lindsey novak confusion - i don't think it would have been a problem at all if i hadn't listed the pairing in the header, but not listing the pairing seemed like poor etiquette. though i left out the lindsay/caldwell purposefully, mostly because there's just no way in hell i would read something labelled that way. i didn't manage to watch the sg1 episode that she was in, but the transcript made her seem a lot less flaky than she is in coup, so i sort of ran with that.

my first draft had a lot more of chuck being obviously lonely, which was cut in beta. i think it's better without, but it will definitely be a bit closer to the surface right after the siege, which is when the prologue is set. yeah, chuck desperately doesn't want to lose (or alienate) anyone he's managed to connect with. part of why he hasn't moved is because he feels a little bit like that would be forgetting about all of these guys who he became close friends with who were killed. (i've been thinking about this a lot; i'm way more emo than chuck about it.)

beckett's a little overwhelmed by cadman. and i think they both like it that way. and if she thinks something is right, he's going to trust her judgment.

the movie is very cute, and it's one that my husband and i both like, which is rare (lately i prefer things with more explosions and less talking) - he wanted to re-watch it for beta purposes, so we did, and he was actually really disappointed in the female characters - they're all very weak, shallow and dumb. well, except for the drunk pickup the lemmon character makes. she's a riot.

i love your idea. oh, man. cadman. i'm going to have to think about that. (for some reason, caldwell/anyone kind of makes me uncomfortable. except possibly caldwell/weir, which i think, handled properly, would be the cutest thing in cuteville.)(as i'm sure you've noticed, i'm pro-rambling.)

thank you for such wonderful feedback!
