DO or MAKE DO
Reflecting back, I'm not really sure when I decided to let the tidal wave of life dictate where I landed and how I got there. I know several people who are where they set out to be and they made it happen for themselves, but for some reason, I just haven't done that. I allow things to happen to me instead of dictating my path. I am in no way proud of this fact, and in all actuality I am highly disappointed in myself for it. I guess most of it started after high school. Things happened while I was in school which forever set the tone for my attitude on life... I couldn't stop the series of events which I was thrown into; so I accepted the fact that I was just along for the ride, whichever ride I was pushed or pulled into. This is not a successful way to live life because you end up accepting whatever is left in the barrel after the achievers pick out the best jobs, best partners, best houses, etc. and you make due. I don't want to "make do".... I want to DO.
