Fringe, 5.01
I HAVE MISSED YOU SO FUCKING MUCH, SHOW. I'm so happy to see everyone! Olivia and her daughter meeting for the first time. Perfect scene is perfect. And even before that with Etta sitting by coffeetable!Olivia--the look on Etta's face, omg. They have such an Amy/River vibe in the mothering department, neither having been around to raise their child and then being confronted with an adult version. "Hi, mama." ♥ And then Olivia and Peter being separated for a bit there after they lost Etta because they were dealing with it in their own different ways and just, ugh, I love that a whole lot. But, omg, Walter's torture was horrific to watch. I had to fastforward a bit, I just couldn't, cos, omg Waaaaalter. But, dayum, it was all so well-acted.
Fringe, 5.02
Really loved Olivia and Etta getting to know each other, trying to find their footing. And the ways Olivia would look at Etta. My heart! And Etta being an awesome badass cos that's what the world she grew up in taught her, and Olivia connecting with the Loyalist prisoner cos that's what the world she grew up in taught her. And then it balancing out in the end (Etta let him go! I honestly didn't think she would. And now that the Loyalist dude is free, Olivia won't be going to the apartment to tell his "son" anything and won't ever know he lied to her. Hmn. But, yes! Very cool how he decided to change sides by the end, having been affected by Olivia. I wonder how that's gonna affect the Resistance.) and OMG SO PERFECT, SHOW. Also, Simon's decapitated head blinking at Etta, omg, that was gross and great all at the same time. I love that Fringe can still make me jump in my seat. :D I'm super curious what the Observers are trying to learn from all that human research, hmn. Also, Walter not wanting to kill his CD player was pretty darned adorable.
Fringe, 5.03
This ep reminds me so much of that X-Files ep in the woods where the loggers chopped down those really old trees and the ancient bugs got loose and swarmed. Aaaaand that's all I got for this ep. Had some plotholes (Why are they so scared of the Observers coming to the camp if they were already there 15 years ago and know what they're doing? And who was in the well at the beginning? And they never really explain WHY they can't move the memory cube base, etc, but whatev.) and overall meh-ness about it (srsly, that heart-to-heart dad/son scene, omg. LONG BORING SCENE WAS LONG AND BORING.), but I'm still enjoying the ride with mah Fringe family. Especially the Olivia/Peter scenes, guh. They have all the chemistry in da world and there is just something wonderful about watching them trying to reconnect. OLIVIA ALL BUT TEARING UP LOOKING AT THE DRAWING OF BB!ETTA AND THE VAN SCENE WITH PETER AND OLIVIA REMEMBERING EVERYTHING AND THAT DINER AND HER GUILT AND NOT WANTING TO FIND BB!ETTA DEAD AND OMG. *ALL THE HUGS*
Caught up on the last few eps of Revenge (2.01-2.03), which I'm still 90% lovin'. Even if Nolan's new haircut is throwing me. IDEK.
But, omg, when he got choked again and was all D: and PTSD-y and omg where is Jack with all the kisses to make it betterrrrrrrrrrr. Also, I'm bummed they killed James Morrison's White-Haired Man. :( In conclusion: We need more of Nolan boxing! Or, y'know, Nolan doing anything. ♥
Tried out the pilot for Chicago Fire. And okay, bleh, that was basically like watching a live-action Hot Fireman 2012 calendar. With as much depth to the writing as that would imply, heh.
Srsly, soon as Dude Everybody Loved was all :D :D :D and goofy as he said his first line, I told the TV screen, "Well, you're dead in a few minutes." AND THEN HE WAS. But, hey, Taylor Kinney (that is always going to make me snicker) is like a poor man's Alex O'Loughlin, so, y'know, count me in for a while longer.
Especially since they've already given him some mystery medical condition and have him on meds for pain and he and Jesse Spencer are fighting and, oh, yeah, btw, Jesse and his girlfriend broke up, so, yes, I do believe I will be shipping him and Taylor when I get bored, thanks. Er, shipping Matthew/Kelly. I've got to learn their character names alfdja. Also, I heart Eamonn Walker. ♥
And then watched the Beauty and the Beast remake. LOL NO. That was terrible.
