Doctor Who, 7.02 (Dinosaurs on a Spaceship)
OMG I LOVED THIS EP WITH ALL MY HEART. SRSLY. I WOULD WRAP A TIE AROUND ITS HANDS AND MARRY IT ON A ROOFTOP RIGHT THIS SECOND.
It was insane amounts of fun and hilarious with way too many one-liners to list and had the right amount of dark and srs and made me giddy!
Doctor: This is the gang. I've got a gang. Yes! *fist pump*
LOL HE'S SO HAPPEH. Makes me wish he had a gang more often. He deserves a gang. ♥
Very cool effect of the TARDIS simply materializing around the Ponds then zooming off! (And Rory being just like his dad at the end, fixing the lightbulb, awwwww.)
Brian Pond, hee. But aroo? Wouldn't the Doctor know Brian from Amy and Rory's wedding? Er, guess not. Hmn, maybe the Doctor danced so much that night he didn't remember everyone he met or something. ;) BUT ANYWAY BRIAN OMG. He and his pocket (golf) balls were delightful and he adores Amy and I can totally picture him being the man who raised Rory, y'know? But, dang, there wasn't a "it's bigger on the inside!" line from him, heh.
Neat misdirect making me think Solomon knew the Doctor personally, when he actually just heard "doctor" and needed one. Also neat was watching Doctor actual doctor someone. Though I'm not sure how he fixed dinosaur-eaten legs, but, eh, details. ;)
Lestrade! Riddell? Lestrade! He's always going to be the DI to me, I'm not even going to fight it. Anyway, he was fun, though I may be projecting my Lestrade love on him. At the same time, he could've been eaten by a dino and I wouldn't've cried simply because we didn't get to know him much. I'd love to know the history between him and the Doctor. I mean, it was fun enough that the Doctor went and picked him up for another adventure. I know, I know, I always want the episodes to be like four hours long with flashbacks and extended dialogue. ;D
The ship being powered by waves. That's so beautiful, omg. *sniff* Rory not having a cmas list and the Doctor putting his hands up, all excited, "I DO!" HEEEEEEEEEE.
Amy getting to be the Doctor with her own Companions and touching of buttons and finding out info and joking and fangirling and shooting dinos and easily being worth two men and Rory's queen (but omg don't tell Rory she said that) and just being oh so Amy, squeeeeeeeeee. ♥ ♥ ♥
Nefertiti: Are you also a queen?
Amy: Yes. Yes, I am.
And her expression when she says it aldkjfas. I LOVE YOU AMY POND. Nefertiti didn't do much for me, but I'm glad she was there for setting up this line alone. Wouldn't've minded Amy bringing up to her that the Doctor was married to her daughter and to back off, though, heh. At least Neffy went off with Lestrade to have adventures. I'd love to meet up with them later, with Neffy in regular clothes and being kick-ass, and Lestrade with a changed attitude toward women. :D (Him and Amy stunning dinos together no doubt started that, I like to think.)
Doctor: Spelling it out is hereditary, wonderful!

Rory getting to use his nursing skills! And that he collects cool medical things from their space travels to stick in his first aid kit, that was so perfect and Rory. ♥
Robot: Oh, I'm so scared! Actually, I might be; a lttle bit of oil came out.
THE ROBOTS OMG I DIE. They reminded me of that little round robot from Hitchhiker's Guide... whose name I can't remember. But, yes, LOVE!
Poor Silurians. :( When the Captain on the screen said one thing wasn't adapting well, I thought maybe they'd say the Silurians themselves were the ones who were dying off, as way of explaining where they'd gone. It prolly doesn't matter in the long run of the series, but now I'm wondering what didn't adapt. Oh! And loved how Neffy's first reaction on seeing the Captain was "beautiful", not "OMG UGLY GIANT TALKING LIZARD WTF." Definitely shows she's been with the Doctor for awhile, and why he'd hang around her and help in the first place.
The Doctor laying a wet one on Rory for his grand idea and then slapping his cheeks for getting his hopes up when it didn't work aldfkjas. ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD, EP. And then Rory's "ew" face lol. If I were a 11/Amy/Rory shipper, I'd just hand wave the reaction away by assuming the Doctor had eaten something icky back when he was picking up Neffy and hadn't brushed his teeth yet. ;)
Aww, forehead kiss for Amy from the Doctor. The affection between them is one of my favorite things about this show. The way the Doctor inquires about her (no longer a model, YEAH! :D) and Rory's life and Amy confesses her insecurities about where they stand with him was a very heartfelt moment and quite lovely. Just as was the thought of the Doctor trying to ween himself off them and vice versa was heartbreaking and very real. Oh, Doctor and Ponds. ♥
Doctor: You'll be there til the end of me. :X
Amy: Or vice versa. :)
The moment: *turns more solemn*
That bit made my mouth dry. *frets*

Thought the valuable thing Solomon thought he had was the TARDIS, not Neffy. So now I don't know if he just didn't know it was there, or if his scanner thingie only registered living matter. Or Oswin's info wipe had wider implications? His computer couldn't find the Doctor's info at all.
The sweet Triceratops dying, omg. :( (And I know it's a "kid show", but that it acted like a dog made me roll my eyes.) Solomon got what he deserved, hmph. And I know I'm still behind on DW eps, but wasn't that pretty much in character for the Doctor? The Doctor is fun and light but with a dark rage-y center when you fuck with innocent people or those he loves. And not only did Solomon destroy an entire race, he shot a Pond. So, yeah. Bye, Solomon!
Amy and Rory wanting to go home and the Doctor's :( face, omg. It's killing me how each ep seems to end with them pulling away and going away and I don't like eeeet. *sobs*
Guh, the shot of Brian eating lunch, looking down at the Earth, ohhhh so lovely. Y'know, Brian and his handy spade would've made a really great Companion, but I am tickled he at least started traveling on Earth. Think of all the new places he's played golf at now!
