Also, about Brian being ok with being alone in the end. How could Gale think that? Is it ok to be alone? This opens the door to all kinds of interpretations and wild speculations about Gale himself. *fangurl mode off*

A friend of mine worked at the convention and she told me the bodyguards and other "security" measures were all Gale's manager's doing. Apparently, he was a bit paranoid... While people were disappointed Gale cancelled Cologne, I haven't seen any threat anywhere...

I've seen some threats. They planned to confront him with a small group of people. Shouting stuff etc.
It was either on Twitter or at Datalounge. Sorry, I don't remember.

I think it was a smart move to bring Mr. Manager along to play "bad cop" and take the fall for all the things Gale himself didn't want to do. I can't blame him for wanting those questions screened, for not wanting to attend the night parties and for wanting to protect himself from the crazies who were threatening to confront him following his absence from the Cologne con, but this way it's all MM's doing. Not just another pretty face, that Mr. Howard :)

After Cologne, I'm sure it was a decision made by both him and his management. The rumors were never validated but even if 'they weren't' it had to be in this minds that it might happen. Guess they thought better to be safe than sorry.

But even with ALL the rules in place, he still was a dollface and put his arms around everyone whom he took a picture with.
