been a rough weekend in soccer, oy

I wasn't around to watch the last two Barca games, but was jazzed about finally being able to sit down and squee during today's game. Only I can't find it playing, on any channel. Odd. So I looked for Real Madrid's game, also supposed to be on around the same time. Nothing. So I made Google my bitch and found this:

The new network [beIN Sport USA] has [acquired the U.S. airing] rights to Spain's La Liga, Italy's Serie A, France's Ligue 1 and England's second-tier League Championship [and] U.S. road World Cup qualifiers. --usatoday

BRB HAVING HULK RAGE. THEN A GOOD CRY.

No more of my precious Barcelona. Or, y'know, a good chunk of all the other soccer I watch, aside from EPL (which, thankfully, I'll still get). This channel is only on DirecTV and DISH, so about 7% of the U.S. WHICH DOES NOT INCLUDE ME. And won't in the foreseeable future because sat dishes aren't allowed where I live. FML. FUCK IT HAAAARD. Hmph.

In other news, OMG ROONEY AND HIS POOR LEG SATURDAY. (Bit more of the aftermath here.) Holy trauma, Batman. That's one of the worst open wounds I've seen since I started watching soccer. Pretty sure Wellbeck agrees with me, heh, considering his bouncing
reaction. I knew it was bad soon as it happened and Roon got up to hop around to get the ref's attention. I did love that it was RVP who went to hold him up soon as he turned around to see something was wrong and Roon reached out for him. ♥ AND THEN THE CLOSE-UP AND THE MEDIC SQUISHING IT BACK TOGETHER AND OMG THIS IS WHY I'M NOT A MEDIC COS I WOULD PUKE IN YOUR V. DISGUSTING LEG WOUNDS. D: D: D:

soccer: manu, messi is awesomessi, soccer, soccer: barcelona, omgwtf, grrr
