400 IM: RYAN WON GOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD. So, so happy for him! And he wore a USA flag grill aldkjfa. OH RYAN NEVER CHANGE.
But then there was Michael Fred's :( face in the interview right after and that broke me. He literally didn't have the words and it just. Oh, bb. *pets* I had a bad feeling going in, he just wasn't fully in this one. He barely made into the final! He was in the 8th lane, y'all. IT WAS SO WEIRD. This event's the hardest for him and iirc, he wasn't even planning on swimming it until six months ago. Not enough time, sigh. At least Ryan didn't beat his world record time. (Though I'm pretty sure Ryan will be sleeping on the softa for awhile nonetheless, heh.)
Also awesome today: Kerri and Misty May against the Australians, woot! They were ahhh-mazing. That last point with Misty saving the ball again. and. again. OMG. And then Kerri with her long legs and dazzling smile and running around the whole court slapping every single helper's hands and everything. MY KERRI GIRLCRUSH IS ALIVE AND WELL KTHX.
