BEHOLD MY NEW SHERLOCK ICON. For the record, it's not easy finding icons when you're covering your eyes so as not to see spoilers, heh. BUT I DID IT. I think that's from the first ep, isn't it? I was trying not to look at any too closely, which, DUDE. Kinda hard. It's a really pretty show. ANYWAY.

Sherlock, 1.02 (The Blind Banker)

J: I had a row in the shop with a Chip & PIN machine.
S: You had a row with a machine.
J: Sort of. It sat there and I shouted abuse. Have you got cash?
S: Take my card.

JOHN IS SO JOHN AND SHERLOCK IS SO AMUSED. ♥

Sherlock bouncing up and down in the bank like a deranged Whac-A-Mole. AWESOMENESS.

Oh my god, Sherlock nearly gets killed THREE TIMES. This happens often, doesn't it? And yet again he doesn't tell John. SOMEONE TELL ME THERE IS FIC WHERE JOHN FINDS OUT. Meanwhile, those scarves of his sure come in handy hiding the evidence. Poor neck. I keep rewatching that strangling scene (AKA, Sherlock Nearly Dies Again #2). HIS FACEEEEEE. AND HOW HE'S ALL "JOHN!". *flails*

The old college friend is a dick. Hey, dick. STOP MAKING SHERLOCK SAD. Where's that colleague from 1.01 that introduced Sherlock and John? He seemed to like Sherlock. MOAR OF HIM PLZ.

Sherlock convincing that woman to let him in the building was freakin' amazing. The way he just switched on "golly gee regular ole guy" to win her over and then got all smug at John mid-way and just. YOU WIN ALL THE ACTING AWARDS, CUMBERBATCH.

Ngl, I kinda love Sarah a lot. Any woman who wails on the bad guy trying to kill her date's future-life-partner and roomie AND then gets kidnapped and nearly killed and doesn't go screaming into the night is aces in my book. Not to mention that Sherlock doesn't intimidate her, even when he rolls his eyes and huffs at her mere presence lol. OMG SO JEALOUS.

John left holding the bag and getting arrested, bwa!

I'm pretty sure "M" at the end is gonna be Moriarty. That's like, the only thing I do know about the Sherlock books. His evol nemesis! And even that I learned from STNG eps. :P

The story overall was bleh, nothing earth-shattering, but again, it's all about time spent with Sherlock and John for me. Especially when Sherlock grabbed John's face and started dancing twirling John around, trying to get him to remember the graffiti. HE'S PRETTY SURE HE'LL REMEMBER IT COS HE TOOK A PICTURE. EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I dunno, I just loved that scene.

It's gonna sound warped, but I'm impressed that they couldn't save Soo Lin. Not that I didn't like her, but I liked that little tragic twisty-twist to the story more. In another (more cookie-cutter) series, with her being the lead-in to the story like she was, I think she woulda survived to go on that date with that guy.

The only thing that really bugged me with this ep was why Sherlock didn't just tip Sarah's chair over or even drag her a few feet to the side and THEN worry about untying her. Sarah could've done it herself even once Sherlock showed up and the attention wasn't solely on her anymore, but I'm cutting her a buttload of slack considering she looked to be srsly freaked out and frozen in shock. But yeah. The tension for that scene seemed forced with that solution so obvious. But I was tickled it was John who ultimately saved her with his trusty foot. Go, John!

In conclusion: YUP STILL WANNA HAVE THIS SHOW'S BABIES.
