04. Sonuvabitch and frak. Caprica got cancelled. So disappointing. Things were finally getting interesting! I honestly didn't expect SyFy not to give it a second season to settle in. OTOH, not shocked cos, wow, it really did get bogged down mid-season. And the worst thing? No more Sam/Larry. >:( I swear, not a good year for me and fave ships staying around, man. At least they're going to show the remaining five eps (and I have my fingers crossed there's a lot of Sam like this last ep), but having to wait til next year to see 'em is just cruel. It's not like SyFy has anything mind-blowing to replace it with. At least let us mourn our show while the wound is still fresh.

Jane Espenson (show producer): [Sam and his brother Joseph] support each other. As much as they might fight and argue and yell, they’re trying to save each other, protect each other. They are a good team. There’s a scene where Sam is angry at Larry, and Joseph says, "I don’t have a spouse anymore. Value what you have."
It’s a beautiful scene. I hope it made the final cut. I haven’t seen the final cut of that one yet to see if it’s there. We write more and film more than we have time for, so some stuff falls away, and unfortunately, Sam and Larry’s stuff - the home life of a character that’s not one of our four leads - is stuff that can get cut. We don’t see as much of Larry as I would have liked.

06. And while I'm babbling about Caprica, how about Sam's tats explained. WITH PICTURES OF THE HOTNESS. The "The Omega below Sam's ear tells us he's married. If Larry were to die, then the bottom opening would be closed--sealed, if you will." quote makes me wonder if possibly killing off Larry was in the show's future so we could see how it affected Sam and the family. Also, "The swirl on both shoulders tells us he's been injured twice in the line of duty." I neeeeed this fic. I picture the first injury happening when he was still young, a teenager or early 20s. Either way, before Larry. So it's Joseph taking care of him, or he's even on his own. Then the second one. Oh, god. Gun action, then lotsa h/c. With Larry worried and snarky while simultaneously cleaning tattooed skin of blood and bitching about how hard it is to clean blood and guts outta the carpet and Sam is brain damaged if he thinks Larry's gonna clean that up too and they really need bigger band-aids if Sam keeps refusing to go to the hospital. And eggs, since he's apparently starting a list in the middle of the night of things they need. Cos that's how he rolls. And there would be foreheads pressed together. And kisses. Sigh. The lack of fic in this fandom is making me whineygrumpygrabbyhands. Also also, Sasha has the prettiest nails I've seen on a man since Roger Federerererer in those pics. For reals.
