Lost, 6.02 - Enhanced
Backtracking real quick cos I love when they do the pop-ups on the older eps. I don't go looking for info between eps (SPOILERS AHOY ON THE INTERNETZ ZOMG) so I end up learning a bunch of fun facts I missed originally. :D
So, hey, they said the LAX!verse is a "flash sideways" and "what would have happened if the plane hadn't crashed." So, uh, that means it's just a "what if" scenario and doesn't really factor in with island life? Cos I'm not sure I buy that. There wouldn't be so many changes to the original history if that were so.
Dogen's 2nd in command is named Lennon and I just realized how much he's made to look like John Lennon with the round granny glasses and long wavy hair and 60's Others clothes aldfkja.
"If your friend there dies, we're in a lot of trouble." Okay, is that because they know someone/thing dark will overtake the body or because Sayid himself was important?
Ohhh, the Pool o' Live Long and Prosper is actually a natural springs surrounded by an ancient structure. Good to know, good to know.
Dogen on saving Sayid, "If we do this, there are risks." YEAH COULD'VE MENTIONED IT INCLUDED EVOL OVERTAKING YOU. D: So, since Ben was healed by this pool as well, I'm taking it to mean that in a world without contact with the pool, he'd have grown up normal and not all CrazyBen. Use the pool = get infected? Or maybe that doesn't happen every time. Clearly Dogen didn't mind testing the pool on himself and doesn't seem infected. Or it doesn't affect you unless you're near death and weak enough to let it take over.
Ooo, that pool really explains how Richard's stayed the same through the decades. Um, yes, I'm just now having this ephinany, shut up alkjdfa.
Lost, 6.03
Sawyer, "Of course he's fine. He's an Iraqi torturer who shoots kids. He deserves another go around." That was both really funny and really painful. Sawyer being allowed to mourn Juliet was the highlight for me. I'm so relieved they didn't just gloss over his loss. His desperation to get back to the house they shared and the ring. Oh god, he was gonna propose! *sob* I did feel for Kate, finally realizing that his relationship with Juliet wasn't just convenience but actual love, that he wasn't pining for her all that time. I still wanna know what Sawyer whispered to her in the copter last season.
So that's what Doyle was doing before Samuel found him - cab driver. :P It's creeping me out having him in this.
"As you can see, Hugo here has assumed the leadership position here. So that's pretty great. :| :| :| :|" Miles always gets the best lines, lol.
Wow, okay, Claire's survival instincts suck. I'm kinda shocked Claire survived that long on the island at this rate. DO NOT GET BACK IN THE CAB WITH CRAZY PERSON YOU DO NOT KNOW.
What the-- Okay, hold up! Kate's survival instincts are just as bad. She confesses she's wanted by the police to a stranger - and then wanders off to his bathroom to change clothes, leaving him alone. How does she know he's not calling the police right then, hoping for reward money on her ass? WTF, writers. Why are all the women so fucking blindly trusting this ep?
Kate looking in the mirror reminded me of Jack's uncomfortable mirror time. Are all the LAX!verse characters gonna feel all wonky when looking into mirrors, hmm.
"I'm sorry, is this press conference?" Hee. It's good to see whatshisface from Sunny in Philly on here! "Justin, shut up!" AHAHA. Happened a couple times and still never got old.
Hurley, "You're not a zombie, right?" HEE.
HURLEY: Private talks kinda freak me out cos they usually end up with me having to do something I don't quite understand.
JACK: I'm right there with ya.
REE: AHAHAHAHA. I heart you Jack.
I'm starting to think unborn Aaron was the one who freaked out when Kate started to leave cos he knew she was "supposed" to be raising him, via the flashforward timeline. Or it could've just been Claire's body being stress after getting carjacked, held at gunpoint, left on the side of the road then rejected by the adoptive parents. :P Faced with the possibility of losing her baby and realizing how much she really does want him, same dealio she went through on the island.
Dogen to Jack, "I have to remain separate from the people I'm in charge of. It makes it easier when I have to make the decisions they don't like for them." I know Jack's already been in that position, but maaaan. That really sounded like some ominous foreshadowing there, ppl. I'm a-skeered.
JACK TOOK THE PILL OMG THAT WAS PRETTY AWESOME. Though, um. If I were Jack and wanted to test Dogen but didn't know what was in the pill and didn't want to risk my life, I'm thinking I woulda just PRETENDED TO TAKE IT. :| I'm just glad we didn't miss out on seeing Dogen karate chop Jack cos that was awesome aldkfjaslj lol. Well, anyway, guess that proves Dogen doesn't want Jack dead. Though he doesn't really mind if Jack carries the burden of having kill Sayid -- again. Of course, protecting everyone from evol!Sayid is more important than Jack's feelings in the long run, but still. The pill only works if Sayid WILLINGLY takes it? Hmn, wonder why.
DOGEN: Because it happened to your sister.
JACK: O.o
REE: Ooooooooooooooooh!
Final scene: Claire = Rosseau omg. That's gonna rock. According to Dogen, she's all evol and stuff. EVOL!CLAIRE IS GONNA ROCK PPL.
