I was once in a pizza place and there were two brothers named Brian and Justin. It took a lot NOT to go over and ask their mother if she was a QAF fan.

Don't know if you watch "Brothers & Sisters," but Kevin (the gay brother) was originally called Brian, back when he was played by Jonathan LaPaglia. So the 2 youngest Walker brothers were Brian and Justin. They changed the name when they recast.

Furthermore, Mama Walker was Dora and played by Betty Buckley. And Sarah had one kid, a tween with autism. They recast the pilot and made all the changes. I would love to see that pilot. There was a clip from it on youtube.

Wow, they changed some big stuff! I dunno if I'd like it as much without Gidget, hmn. Sometimes old pilots show up on DVD sets. Be fun to see it!

And me lurves yr icon!

I suppose it might show up on the series DVD; I know it's not on the season 1 DVD. Some folks were hoping to see it and were disappointed. The friend who's seen works for ABC or a subsidiary as an accountant, saw it when it was floating around back 2 or 3 year ago, and doesn't have a copy or know how to get one:(. Given that it's a product of The Old Regime (JR Baitz and Noxon), my money's on it never sees the light of day.

I definitely like Sally better than Betty and Matthew Rhys is awesome. I've given up on the show, tho: I only watched the Nigel Havers episodes this year; got fed up when they "de-Walkered" Rebecca. I loved season 1, especially the alcohol-fueled Walkerpaloozas. And I was on Team Jason (my first shipper war!). Then I got into QAF during the writers' strike, because someone griped that B&S was ripping off all the QAF storylines. The rest is history. My friend Terri Mauro does an awesome blog about Brothers and Sisters, tho: it's better than the show, IMO.

That annoyed me SO MUCH. Especially when they recycled the idea and did it all over again with the long-lost son. :| But now I'm glad they did since it brought you to QaF and me! <3
