Olympics withdrawal has already started. Sonuvabitch.
So, yes, can we talk about the Closing Ceremony real quick? Cos that was both amazing and kinda sucked. All the singing just dragged on and on for me tonight. But, guh, thumbs up for all the vivid colors and costumes. Lots of gorgeous caps here.
Highlights from the Closing Ceremony:
• Phelps' shirt riding up just enough to see some bellyskin and briefs when he lifted his arm. THAT WAS GOLD, BABY. Every time he has to answer the same question for the 3249861284th time, I swear I see a part of him die inside.
• Shawn Johnson being her adorable self. I couldn't help but laugh when that 10' giant stepped in front of her mugging for the camera and she just vanished aldkfas. And then her AHAHAHAWTF look when he dodged back outta camera frame, hee. I missed Nastia and the others not being there. :(
• That bus sequence was AWESOME.
• Leona Lewis/Jimmy Page finally getting to the end of that godawful song. I usually love her, but, man. Was just NOISE to me.
• The countdown by day up on the jumbo screens leading to the torch being extinquished. Made me teary.
• Beckham! Even though he didn't do more than go *grin* *kick*. Totally worth waiting three hours for.
Time to clean out my The Olympics: G/R Style 2008 folder. \:D/ I had such big plans for doing these once a day and picspamming over Olympic events and, oy. Life. But, hey, here are the ones I did finish!
No one else on the Gymnastics Team dared their two-man high bar routine!
