I present to you here, in its entirety, your beloved First Ammendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
Ahem.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free excercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Now. Do any of you see ANYWHERE in this paragraph, the phrase "Separation of Church and State"? ? ? Anyone? Hmmm?
And again, I say SHUT UP!!! Puh-LEASE stop crying "Separation of church and state!" to solve all of your problems. It's just not in there. Simple as that. Thomas Jefferson coined the phrase in a letter to the Pastor of a Baptist church, assuring him that the government would not stick its nose into church affairs, NOT vice versa.
Presenting intelligent design as a valid hypothesis in schools is NOT an establishment of religion.
I feel like a good ol' debate. Anyone game?
