One whole week of training, and a whole week of work later~ I get my first pay (yaaaaayyyy~!)
Training was intense! And really didn't prepare us for the overload that was to come in the second week of work. Sometimes I feel like I have a handle on a particular task - only to find out, whoops no I don't. Very taxing, frustrating but fun too. I'm enjoying it so far. Everyone is really lovely, supportive and nice; everytime I've made a mistake so far, I haven't really felt like I've been in trouble (other than my own self imposed feeling of being so & screwing up).
Noticed that a LOT of the bad habits that were "workplace culture" at my last work, and I ineveitibly fell into have somewhat prevailed into my new work; like being a total whinger. But I don't swear, and keep all discussion above board.
So much hermitism has somehow made me a little socially retarded I think. People ask me how I am, or how my weekend is - and I answer well enough, and then go about my business as normal. And remember hours later - hang on, I should have asked THEM, gosh I must seem like a wanker.
So work is doing well. And they seem quite happy with me so far. FINGERS CROSSED. Looks as though we will be working beyond a year as well. But that's not definate.
Want to work there:
Apply Here as they are looking for 2 more people. <<== Louis that means you :P (Majorly administrative, customer service focused, with a technical aspect, but technical knowledge is not what will win you the job, more an appitutude or capability to understand technical crap will.)
So it turns out that the little car accident that Matt had a while back was what was the cause behind my car breaking down. The connections between the gearbox & the wheels (axel whatever) basicly snapped. Luckily the snap didn't shoot one end of it straight into the engine, otherwise I could kiss my car goodbye. So $700 later, my car is on the road again~ (thank-you!)
Hum hum, other stuff, but yes.
I think that's enough for now.
