So while I was in the city yesterday I checked out Myer and puddled around their store looking for nice stuff.
I was sad to see that Tokito has gone more glamourous and club/slut like which is a let down as much of their older stuff had a classly sexy style to it: that's gone now. There's still some of the business stuff left, as well as some cute tops.
French Kitty is still making nice stuff, Dangerfield's things are most of the time in really poor quality fabrics, I found one top that was actually of good quality but the price wasn't worth it: it was a really nice top though. I asked to try on some of the hand warmers which had massive electronic tags stabbed through: kind of like, obstructing trying them. And the woman was like, sorry I can't do that, we have a theft problem. I even said I'd try them on in front of her. o_O???
Lol, it's not like I can run very fast considering my current fitness!
Miss Shop still has some nice T-shirt designs. Cue, Basque and Piper are still veerrrryyy nice stuff. Except Basque has gone up in price drasticly, it used to be a no-name kind of brand, but now it's apparently considered designer? $100 for a pair of slacks WTH. Used to be $60. Cue is way out of my league at the moment with my budget, and Basque let me down on their prices.
They had some sale racks and I picked up a few steals from there.
The Basment at Myer currently has tooonnnnssss of sales racks of already reduced and not-reduced items on 75% off the current marked price. I picked up some work pants for like $12, and tops for $7.50 -- very very good bargain.
I'd reccommend people pop in if interested, lots of old and semi-new season stuff to grab at a steal of a price. (Makes you wonder what it actually costs them to get the stuff made.)
