The lack of entries of late was due to a 5-day trip to Chicago, to meet some Texanian friends. It was great fun. The first day (we got there around 5 PM) we played cards, badminton and such, went over to the playground, hung out and took amusing pictures. Monday we went sailing on Lake Michigan and when we got a mile or so out into the lake, we dropped anchor and jumped into the frigid water. That was really fun somehow. There's just something charming about jumping off a boat, I suppose. I think it was that night that we went to see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It was far better than the first two. It wasn't as gimmicky and glitzy as the others, and the actors have matured so it is more believable too. I STILL want to see King Arthur, though, no matter how many people say it's terrible. I love dark ages stuff. Anyway, back to Chicago. We also went kayak/canoing at a lake and raced around. We also went to a big pool for four hours one day. And we rode bikes, played badminton and cards and stuff, like I said. It was fun though. What was wierd was that we hadn't met our friends in person before, we'd just talked to them on the internet for a year and a half. They're alot like our family, meaning they are really cool. Although, my family isn't THAT cool, but if someone is anything like me... they are Rad-o. Gosh, it seems like there should be more to write...
Oh yeah. Kimps (the card game) is really fun when you make up ridiculous signs, then do exaggerated fake signs all through the game. Then when you do your sign, they think your faking. It's great. For example, one time in one of our games Isaac (my Texanian friend and Kimps partner at the time) got Kimps, and we had been doing stupid fakes the whole game, but we had the BEST sign ever. He got up, yelled a Hulkish "WWWWOYAAAAAAAH" and overturned the entire table, sending cards fluttering all over the room. Needless to say, I realized the sign, said KIMPS and we won. It was hiLArious.
