Yesterday and Today

WARNING: This will probably be very boring for you if you don't know me very well, and it would be best if you know the people I know too. Anyway, continue only if you have nothing better to do.

I suppose I'll start on Sunday.
So we go to church... ok I guess nothing of interest happens there.... But afterward, oh my. So we were invited to the house of... Sherrie Payne *ba ba ba bum* for the afternoon Sherrie is the teacher of our homeschool faux-co-op. At least they have a pool. So we swam around for awhile, of course, with Trey, our hole-dwelling cousin, it was... chaotic. So after awhile my dad, Mr. Payne and I went "down to the crick" to "shoot some skeet". I don't like shotguns. They're too loud. And painful. I'd rather have a good 'ol .22. My dad was pretty good, he shot at least 4 out of 5 on each round. Skeet-shooting is super hard.
Then we went in for supper, where we had DiGiorno's pizza. It was delightfully delicious. But then it was like 5:30 and I was like... "Um, mom, we need to go soon..."
"Why?"
"Community worship is at six."
"No it's at seven."
"No, it starts at six tongight."
"Why wasn't I told of this?"
"Um, you were, this morning at church. It's called "announcements."
"Oh, well, call the Prossers and see if they're going."
"But I was wanting to go back to the house really quick because I'm not ready."
So anyway, at first she was going to take us, because the Prossers didn't answer the phone. It would have been pretty smart too, because we could've taken the kids home, and got them out of their hair, dropped us off, and then returned for a peaceful evening with the Paynes. But then, right as we were walking out the door, the Prossers called back. So they went and dumped us on the Prossers, making them late. But after that it was really cool. There were like, 300 people there. The worship was awesome. Oh yeah, and I finally got to hear the famous pastor/college teacher guy "Moxy" teach. He was really good. Plus he was Scottish. That makes anybody twice as cool. He even still had his accent!
Today we went to a memorial day picnic at Turkey Run park with a bunch of church/homeschool people. It was moderately fun. Hmm... The McIntires/Maxwells, The McClouds, Prossers and others were there. Oh yeah. And the *out of tune violin- screech, screech!* Morrisons. Grrr. Well we played football for awhile, then ate... then played an exhausting yet satisfying game of basketball. While we were doing that, everybody else decided to go on a hike. So, I sat around and played guitar with Seth. Then we played another game of basketball. Man, this is kind of boring. Anyway, so we were playing for awhile, and then these two hispanic kids asked if they could play and we said sure, and so I asked them what their names were.
"I'm Jose," said the tall one. "And this is my cousin..." he pointed to the short kid.
"And I'm Jose." he said. I thought they were joking, so I kind of chuckled. But then I found out they weren't, and although I tried not to, I laughed really hard.
Then after playing awhile, it started to rain and that was awesome, because it had been really hot and we were all sweaty and tired. Then the hiking people (the people I actually like) got back. Then the game was over, but somehow, I had a lot of energy. So I went over to talk to Hollie and Morgan (McIntire) who were playing tennis. It seems like rain has an energizing effect on me. Then it started raining really hard, and there was a thick layer of water on the court. So I decided to lay down on my belly. It was fun. Then I got up and started singing Barney songs. *If all the rain-drops were lemon-drops and gum-drops, oh what a rain that would be!* And everyone joined in and it was grood. Then we had to go. Now I'm feeling artistic. It's probably because of the delightful weather... and when I say delightful I mean rainy.
