(no subject)
I was playing around with documenting a day in my life for one of those livejournal communities. I decided to do it this past Sunday. As I was looking at the community rules, I noticed it said no cell phone photographs. I used my BlackBerry camera because mine hasn't worked in ages and I couldn't borrow my sister's. Some pictures are good, but most are just okay quality.
A few of the people who added me on here back in the day (does any one still check their friendslist?) did so because they thought it was interesting that I lived in Abu Dhabi, so here is a day in my life for you all :)
This day includes work and work related things. Image heavy.
Next time the pictures wont be as big and sure as hell not as grainy. I hope.
My phone rang and woke me up at 5:20 (ten minutes before my alarm), so I kind of got distracted and didn't take a picture. The only thing you missed was my cat Tina jumping up on me and meowing for food. Also, I lay in bed for a bit willing myself to get up.

Tina wanted me on the bed.
It says 6:18
Got dressed, put on make up/perfume. My shoes were being fiddly.
Checked up on the kitty.
My dad shuffled into the kitchen at this point and said he wasn't going to work. I envied him for a bit. I took a picture of the time.
Got my stuff ready for the day. I had three bags on me: my purse, a bag with some grading in it, and my laptop.
Going off to war.
They're digging up something and its causing a hassle.
Off we go.
My road, then another, then the highway, then the area I work in.
Sand opposite the staff car park.
Time I got there and first lesson of the day.
Cup of coffee then off to class.
Lessons start at 8:00
Gave them the last Grammar lesson for the year then checked their exercise.
I have girls in the class but they're on the farther sides of the room.
Lesson ended. I was starving so I ran down to the cafeteria and got food.
I'm doing up student reports and putting them into the grade book. With a little help from Sufjan.
Lesson started 10 minutes before. Math!
Dunzo!
Greetings from the bathroom.
Giant cup of tea and a cheese sandwich someone made me.
Now to put the grades into the actual reports.
Start time, finish time, and then my tired face. With Kate Bush asking to be let in through the window I got ready for my next lesson.
I let them watch a movie. (I swear there are girls in the class)
School is over for the day, but I have tutoring for an hour.
All done!
I sign out and wait with the girl until her mother shows up to pick her up.
The Kindergarten graduation was the week before and they put that up. Every time I pass it, I get startled because I think its actual people.
The girl's mother shows up, so I talk to her for a bit and then its off home. Goodbye school.
Finally home. I was lucky and found a good parking spot.
Up the elevator, then I go say hello to my dad in the living room.
Feed Tina and then myself. I'm having marrow/zucchini stuffed with a rice mixture then cooked in tomato sauce. It was delicious.
I watch some French and Saunders until its time to get ready again.
I go check on Tina in my parent's bedroom, then after she follows me into the living room, she plays with my dad and mom. My ride then calls and I leave.
I love Abu Dhabi around this time of day.
After driving on the same highway I use to get to work, we get to our destination.
We're here for the sixth grade graduation.
We park and walk to the door.
The place was pretty cool looking.
The assistants from the school were there to greet everyone as they came in.
We sit around clapping and standing up for various things.
Finally, it finishes.
Off home, but first food.
Perfect.
Blah traffic.
She doesn't like it when I go places.
I change, set my food up and watch more French and Saunders while I eat.
Multitasking.
I watch some The Young Ones and then go say good night to my parents. Meanwhile Tina is shameless.
Take off my make up then I settle down to watch a bit more then sleep.

I hope you guys enjoyed that. I'm thinking of doing another one next week when I go stay with my sister who lives in Dubai. I think I'll borrow her camera for that one.
