Of course the day I wear a short, flippy skirt and two inch heels to work in the office is the day they want me to crawl around on the copy room floor unpacking paper boxes and sorting files in preparation for a re-accreditation visit.  Good thing that door locks...

Also, the head secretary said (after I arrived at work ten minutes late, made some copies, and did some filing), "I know you dont like working here, but if you ever want to work here again I would be glad to put in a good word for you."  Very nice of her, and I was quick to clarify that I dont *dislike* working in the office, I would just rather be teaching.

I still dont know why she would recommend me to work here though - yes, I am ridiculously efficient and fend off people who want to bother her with silly questions (my favorite line, "We have a website with all that information conveniently laid out for you!") but I am also always late (since they scheduled my shifts to back up to other obligations across campus), cant help with the confidential files since I know too many of the faculty and grad students professionally, and take a ridiculous number of paid days off (some weeks, over half my shifts).  I would want to fire me, not recommend me....
