I finally have an iPod. It's one of the new 80GB Classics. So far it seems great, even the packaging is designed very well. iTunes is taking some getting used to, but it's not bad. If it means I can use the Coverflow feature, I'm all for it. The iPod also came with two great Apple stickers. I'm not quite sure what to do with them.

I'm still in love with the new Accord. I'm fairly certain that's what I'm going to end up getting, though I still need to do some looking and test drives. I will have looked at every car 10 times by the time I buy anything, so I don't think I can go wrong. It's hard to strike a balance between sporty and reasonable. But so far the Honda seems to do it the best. 268hp and still around 30mpg on the highway.

My mother is always buying stuff, but ever since I taught her how to use eBay since I didn't want to bid on stuff for her, there's always a package over there. She's really taken to the idea of buying stuff online.

I bought a 500GB hard drive over the weekend just because it had been a while since I bought a hard drive. Then I went over to my parents meaning to take a hard drive out of a portable enclosure that I left over there a while ago, and it turns out it was a 250GB drive. This is why I wrote down what drives I had, where they were, and how big they were. But I promptly lost that list, and so now I have something like 2TB of space. Of course I took the 250GB drive back and I'll give my parents one of the smaller ones I surely have somewhere. I really don't know why I have so many of them. I'm not complaining though, the new drive I bought it SATA and all my old ones are IDE so it would have been a pain to use them in the new compy.

It's scary but I actually like work. I like my bosses, they listen to me about things, and stuff actually gets done. I may be biased because a lot of what I'm working on now is GUI design, but I think that's what I'll be doing for a while. Working with up to date software and languages is great. It's amazing how much easier things are with C# and .Net as opposed to C++ in Visual Studio 6.0. So hopefully I can continue not hating work. That wasn't very fun.

So if I get a new car... I new a new Auburn plate. My current one is ZIG03. Pretty simple, '03 for the year I graduated, Zig for... well, you know. It's not too cute, but not too bland. My initials would just be too... something. And I don't want something that everyone is going to ask me what it means. So for a new one, maybe I'll stay similar and get ZIGAU. A different year wouldn't make too much sense. 08 for the model year of the car is just too... something. ZIGAU reminds me of zicau which Ike used to use for some things. It's pretty clear that it's not a word and not some confusing message. It's not "zigau" the word. But maybe I can put a space in there... ZIG AU.

If you're wondering why I bothered to post, it's because my iPod is in the process of syncing.
