I'm sitting at my favorite coffee shop on Main st. This guy just came in and asked the lady behind the counter if it was an exciting day "on the island". That's awesome. I sometimes forget I live on an island. It's so big it's forgettable. As a side note my newest carreer plans are to become a writer. If for no other reason then I wouldn't complain at all if I got paid to sit and drink coffee and write all day while watching the world go by. But don't worry...it doens't mean I've given up on PT. Quite the contrary because I'm enjoying my internship quite a bit. I'm getting along great with my CI and the place is really nice to work at. Plus it's so great to finally be treating patients. I did get to do a bit of that this past year during our one morning a week practicums but it wasn't much. Especially this past semester because we only ever did evaluations of new patients. My CI sees alot of spine patients and technically I haven't learned how to treat spines yet (those classes come next fall) but it's ok. I'm a quick learner and learn better by doing than sitting in class anyways. The spine can be alittle more complicated due to the potential nerve involvements but I'm really liking it. It might be a good thing to specialize in since a great big percentage of people who come ot PT come for their spines. Then on the other hand if I'm working in Timbuktu specializing won't be very important. We'll see about that later.
BJ and friends are moving to Beverly this weekend. I will probably help out with that a bit. Caleb proposed to Emily this past week. I'm very excited fo the two of them although I'm already sick fo the wedding talk. He has already created these cute little 'save the date' cards to mail out ot friends and family which is great but in my opinion you don't have to rush to do things that soon. But then again he's probably more excited about it then I am:)
The two weddings this past weekend were good. The second one started late because apparently the groomsmen were all playing video games up until half an hour before the ceremony. The girl who played the music with BJ played 'Anne's THeme' during the prelude music. It's the theme music from 'Anne of Green Gables'. I never realized it was it's own peice of music. I decided I want it played at my wedding. It's pretty and not overused (i hope).
I've been doing alot of reading lately. I used to think that nothing good was ever written anymore but that is definitely not the case. I'm reading all books written fairly recently and they are all quite good. So there is hope for modern thought after all. Or at least modern writting.
I might go walk down by the ocean for a bit after my parking meter runs out. Sometimes I can't quite believe that I'm actually living here in this little sea port town. It seems a bit unreal at times. I doubt I'll stay here forever, in fact I hope to leave for many other new places, but I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up bakc here someday. It's a wonderful place to live.
