Ah...time again for my montly LJ post ;) In a way, I feel bad for not posting more, since I use LJ mainly as a way to keep in touch with friends outside of LA (aka: you!) though my communication skills leave much to be desired ;) I suppose I live life under the philosophy of "I'll see you when I see you", meaning I keep little contact with people I don't see every day (if you don't believe me, just ask Mike) ;) It doesn't mean I love my friends any less, but it is kinda selfish of me to remove them from my lives at my own convenience. So if you don't see and/or hear from me, please don't hold it against me :)
While the rest of the academic world toils away, I have been living like a (flat broke) rockstar, doing all in my power to enjoy my last summer before my senior year begins. In a way, it's kinda scary, since all I've known since I was 6 was go to school, get out in June, sit on ass until September, then repeat. Now it has changed to go to school, graduate in March, and do something that doesn't lead to me living in a gutter. Fun stuff ;) I perhaps worry about a lot more than I should, but I'm young and naive, so it's ass-crappin' scary.
But I digress...life has been pretty good in my new apartment. My new roommates have been super tolerant of my furriness/gaeity, as I have turned my room into an shrine of plush and velour. This is the first place I've lived since coming to college that isn't dorm-style. It's sure nice to have a quiet place to come home to at the end of the night, not having to worry about drunkards pouring beer on my fursuit while I sleep ;)
Other than that, I've been honing my foozball and shuffleboard skills (or lack thereof), while working on and off to finish Nozzle (I completed the right paw last night, and will start on the other appendages this weekend.) I'm in the process of planning a trip up to the bay in mid-October, and although Conifur is out of my budget, a trip to the 'Area to catch the last Golden Brewery beer night definitely is.
Until then, I hope all of you are doing well, and I will catch y'all on the flip side! (I have no idea what that is supposed to mean, but it does have a chummy feel to it ;) )
