Thru-You
I don't really know what to call it, but Thru-You is really something incredible. It's either the coolest remix project, video project, or whatever I've run across yet. A guy in Tel Aviv who goes by Kutiman, with some serious creative skills, noticed that there's a lot of people putting videos of themselves playing music up on youtube.com, and decides to apply a remix/mash-up concept to them. But instead of just doing music, he leaves in the video, so you can see what he's done and where he got it from (he also credits everyone, which is totally awesome). Beyond the concept of taking music in the public space and turning it into something new, the finished product is really good. I found .mp3s of it somewhere, and I've been grooving on this for a couple of weeks now. Check it out.
