Another round of favorites!
Favorite Comic Strip: Foxtrot - Has been for as long as I can remember. I have all the anthology books and until Bill Amend stopped doing dailies Foxtrot was always my desk calender of choice. Unfortunately he did stop doing dailies doing nothing but Sunday strips so there goes any future trips to Fun Fun Mountain or to Uncle Randy's cabin. The Sunday strips are still good, I just miss the story lines. I tried Pearls Before Swine for my desk calender this year and there's just no comparison.
Favorite Winter Olympic Sport: Short Track Speed Skating - May as well be an equal opportunity Olympic lover and name my favorite Winter sport. I actually love watching all the Winter Olympic sports, there's really no duds like there are in the Summer games (boxing anyone?) so picking a favorite was actually kind of hard. I love the ski-jump and rooting for Simon Amman of Switzerland (AKA Harry Potter), and the last games got me really into curling even though I had no idea what the hell I was watching the first time I put it on. But I have to go with the craziest, Short Track Speed Skating. Like track cycling, it's fast, it's crazy and just about anything can happen like at the 2002 Salt Lake Games when one Korean dude tripped up everyone except the Australian in the back who cruised to the gold. I also have to give love to the Biathlon which combines shooting with skiing because I rented a Winter Olympics Sega game years ago and the Biathlon was the only event I was able to medal in, which of course was gold!
Favorite Anime Opening: Cowboy Bebop's Tank! - Oh there's no question here, of course my favorite anime also has the best opening ever. I'll just let it speak for itself:
