I spent about 4 hours yesterday and 4 hours today doing yard work. I've got about 25% of the "jungle" tamed. I call the back portion of my yard the "jungle" because it's overgrown with various types of vines (including poison ivy). It also had close to a foot of dead leaves coating the ground. So, in about 25% of that section of the yard, I've got the leaves raked up, and the big vines cut. I still have to spray weed/brush killer back there. I also cut down some shrubby-looking trees that I think are Privets, which are an invasive, non-native tree so I guess I did the environment a favor. I really need to finish up with the raking, cutting, and spraying in the next week. Then I have to bag up all the leaves and clippings. So much work to do still.
