Flu
Yah we got it. For 4 days now, i just cant stay warm. Temp is set at 72 and im full of goosebumps. Mudpuppy and i have been sleeping separate from hubby so we dont infect him. We both sported fevers of around 100.9 2 days ago. Every time i cough my head absolutely throbs. I wish it was the old familiar herniated disk pain. I can deal with that and go about my day. But not this baby. We both are drippy nosed and coughing like crazy. Maybe got 3 hours of sleep last night. It didnt help that the plows started at 3am. I hurt everywhere muscles and joints even before the violent coughing. I dont even have anything productive to show for the pain. This sucks. Havent had influenza in years. I'm thinking we got it from Cottonwoods kids who visited last weekend with gooy noses and coughs.
*whimper, whine and all that stuff*
Hubby is dealing with an abscess tooth. Karen drove me to the local organic store and i got hima mess of Arnica grapefruit seeds extrac and garlic capsules. Worked pretty quickly the swelling is way down... hence a relief from the pain. I'm hoping he stays with this for a week to fight that infection. he has been at it now for 24 hours another 24 will tell if its off to ER or not. Keep your fingers crossed natures antib's will work on this!
Our local pal, Karen, is off to Mexico this weekend for a week. She hasnt seen her hubby since October i think. Well it was last fall at least. I hope all goes smoothly. Once again from the mouth of someone over there. Things are going well and they are making a difference. The citizens adore our troops and are very thankful and gracious to them. I guess good news is no news and the press doesnt feel good news sells. To bad. We need to know the good and bad going on over there. Everytime i hear someone talk about we need to get out of there, it was a mistake or we are not doing any good, i want to ask them if they are getting this word of mouth, the press, or do they actually know a few people there and have they spoken with them. My opinion... get it from the horses mouth. Everything else is just rumors. Enough said.
Still no luck in finding a job. My add for day care only got one call. She was from another day care and looking for second shift for her granddaughter. *grumble*. The farmer needing a bookkeeper has yet to return my 4 calls. Between my herniated disk and the fact i can not buy a new lift for my right foot, i physically can't go for any of the manufacturing jobs, which is where there is good money right now. Even retail is a bit out of the question without that lift for my right foot. Hell just doing chores around the house or grocery shopping puts my foot and knee in pain without a lift.
Tanglefoot is performing this Sat. I hope my son makes it. I know he wants to go. It's not in the cards for us this time. Tickets gas lodging baby sitter dog sitter. Aint happenin. On the 8th we are celebrating my grandmothers 104th B-day. My 2 middle kids wont make it up from Iowa for that. Mimi could not get the time off and she is the sole driver. I will miss them. IM getting used to it though since they all seem so grown up now and are off finding their own lives. Mimi does call me alot about Landlord issues though. She really needs to get some balls.
Back to bed for Mudpuppy and I. He is asking me to go up up stairs now. Maybe i will actually get to sleep. I dunno earlier today he just wanted to read books and play peek.
