First off! Congratulations to all athletes that competed in the #2012 Olympics in London. Also a big thank you for the organizing committee, all the wonderful volunteers that assisted the Olympics committee in pulling it off. To quote Mika, "We Are Golden!"

Now to the featured artiste, Lawson are a four piece British band signed to Global Talent, a division of Polydor records. Consisting of Andy Brown, Adam Pitts, Joel Peat and Ryan Fletcher from Liverpool, Brighton, Nottingham and Chesterfield respectively but based in London. Thier new single "Taking Over Me" debuts this week at number on the BBC radio 1 UK Top 40 Singles Charts this week. They sing alternative rock but looking and sounding more like an American Alterative rock band than British, they bring a clean rock pop sound to the music scene. They are set to release their debut album by mid October of 2012. Incidentally, Lawson was formally known as The Grove.
