Sounds like a heck of a time there. County is changing the service provider for our health benefits program. One of my doctors will be out of network, so the deductible and copay will go up ($4k and 30% versus $2K and 10%), so I am going to have to decide whether to switch. The pharmacy was able to switch the information and hopefully the out of pocket expenses for the prescriptions will be lower. Just need to look at a couple of details to examine regarding what the deductible covers.
Last night was interesting. Mom had to treat our cousin's younger daughter (11 years old) after she accidentally came in contact with a Jumping Cholla (one type of Cholla cactus). It hurt initially, but once she got focused on other things, the pain wasn't quite as bad. Getting stuck by a cactus isn't fun, but you do get used to it after a while.
I don't think that any new fires ignited last night. We've got one fire burning up on Mount Lemmon, about twenty or so miles from where we are. They were restricting traffic on the highway going up the mountain the other day due to the number of engines and tankers going up and down. it hasn't destroyed any structures yet. Monsoon rains finally arrived, so we'll be seeing the seasonal spike in traffic accidents soon.
Being with my cousin and his family for a day was a good refresher on how much work it is to run a household. I can only imagine what you manage on a daily basis there. I'm pretty spoiled having only my parents, grandmother and cats to deal with.
