been a busy day

Since I was in the room anyway, I figured I may as well find out whose place this is, and see if I can find a clue as to why or how I ended up here. Drawers are always a good place to start, not to mention the pictures decorating the place.
The clothes in the closet and the drawers were all female clothes, though it looked like more than one person lived there. Interesting. *sly smirk* Maybe I can play, too.....
As for pictures... wait a second... that girl looks like me, only human and dressed in -ugh!- cute clothes. It's that human me, the other Willow. Great. That means I'm back in the weird Sunnydale. Figures.
And who's that girl with her? Must be the girlfriend. She didn't have one of those last time I got stuck here. I thought she was going out with the wolf-boy. I thought she wasn't interested in women? After all, when I hit on her, she was creeped out. And here I thought she'd love the chance to be with another version of herself. I sure would...
Wait a sec, I just heard something. A bell sound.... there's a cat. Whatever. I won't bother it, and it won't bother me.
"Nice kitty." Wonder if it's friendly. I tried to pet her, but she scratched me! Stupid cat. Good thing vampire wounds heal right away. She's going out in the hall, whether she wants to or not.

A few minutes pass, and I'm able to snoop around a little more. Not much interesting, really... normal girl stuff, cat stuff, whatever. Then I hear footsteps heading toward the door.

"How'd you get out here?" She must be talking to the cat, since there's no way she knows I'm in here. I think. Then, I hear the key in the lock. Great. How am I going to explain myself?

It's the other girl. Not-Willow. She's got the cat under one arm and bags in the other.
"Willow?"
She thinks I'm the human Willow! All right then, if that's what works, I'll play along.
"Yeah, hi."
"I thought you were going to go look for a job. How did you get back here so fast? And what's with the outfit?"
Oh, joy. Here's to thinking on my feet! "Um, yeah. I thought maybe I should change before I went out. First impressions and all that. It was the best thing I could find." Compared to her wardrobe, what I was wearing was way better. I don't know how she can stand looking like that, really.
"Isn't it a little... unusual for you, sweetie?" she asked.
"It's the new me. I should go. Get a start on the hunting." Hunting, ha. She doesn't need to know what I'm realy thinking. But if I'm gonna keep her thinking that I'm the human Willow, I've got to get out of here. I don't know how much longer I can do this.
"All right, I guess you're right." She looked at me heading for the door, then asked "Do I at least get a kiss before you go?"
Kiss? How was I going to manage that one without wanting to suck her dry, or better yet, make myself a companion? I was just gonna have to avoid that one.
"I'd better not now. Got a bit of a cough. Might make you sick. *cough cough* Lots of... um, smoochies... tonight?"
"You sure are acting weird, Will. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'll stop by the doctor while I'm out. Bye."

Yikes. That girl must think her girlfriend's gone around the bend. But it doesn't matter, since I'm out and free. Perhaps I'll just wander a bit and see what I can see. Heading down the street, I'm surprised at how quiet it is. And how shady. At least it's decent around here, with the shade so I'm not nearly as limited as I might be otherwise.
As I was walking past an alley, I heard voices that sounded vaguely familiar.
"Where do you think she's hiding out?"
"Buggered if I know. But I'm sensing something...."

Spike? Can't hurt to get in good with the local vamps, can it? I headed into the alley. There stood Spike and Faith.
